All 2016/2017 Cheer Evolution events will be available on the Canadian Cheer online registration site. Detailed instructions on how to get started are posted below. Once you have uploaded your roster(s) to the online registration system, registering for events is only a click away! We hope that this online system makes registering for our events as simple as possible for the user.
Please follow the same instructions as below, creating a new “team” for each specialty entry. From there, select “Specialty” from the “What type of team?” dropdown menu. For Mascot, you can choose to enter the athletes’ names for announcement. Once the “team” is created, please ensure to add the appropriate athletes to the team by following Step 6 below.
Step 1: Get to the site
Step 2: Log in
For new users, click the “register now” link, and fill out the user information.
For returning users, log in with your username and password.
Step 3: Add Athletes
Click “Athletes” on the left side menu. A drop down menu will allow you to select two options, “Athlete List” and “Add Athlete.”
For new users, New athletes can be added manually by selecting “Add Athlete” from the left side menu, or create an Xcel spreadsheet summary (please see below for more information).
For returning users, please review returning athletes/birth dates to ensure the spelling and information is correct. New athletes can be added manually by selecting “Add Athlete” from the left side menu, or create an Xcel spreadsheet summary (please see below for more information).
Step 4: Add Coaches
Click “Coaches” on the left side menu. A drop down menu will then allow you to select two options, “Coach List” and “Add Coach.”
For new users, New coaches can be added manually by selecting “Add Coach.”
For returning users, please review returning coaches to ensure spelling is correct. Add new coaches by selecting “Add Coach”.
Step 5: Create Teams
For all users, teams must be created each season. Click “Teams” from the left side menu. A drop down menu will then allow you to select two options, “Team List” and “Add Team.” Select “Add Team” and fill out information accordingly. It may be easier at this time to add all teams for the season.
Once teams have been added, you can manually assign athletes and coaches to each team by selecting “Teams” from the left side menu, then “Team List” from the drop down, and select the team you wish to manage. To add athletes or coaches to the team, type in their names to the corresponding search boxes on the right side of the page. You can select multiple names at a time and click “Add Athletes” or “Add Coaches” to add the selections to the team.
Step 6: Register for Events
For all users, select “Event Registration” from the left side menu, and then “Events” from the drop down menu. Select the event you wish to register for and click the “Register” button. Add the teams you wish to register, and then either save as a draft, or submit to the Canadian Cheer office.
Payment must be received before the payment deadline in order to secure the current price point (for example payment for a registration at Early Bird Rate must be received in office before the Early Bird deadline). Registration is not considered complete until payment, rosters and waivers have been received in office. All paperwork must be received by the deadline in order to be eligible. Athletes need only submit one waiver for the entire competitive season.
Creating an Excel Spreadsheet Summary
Administrators of programs with multiple teams have the option to email an Excel Spreadsheet to email@example.com. A template for this spreadsheet is provided below. There are three main instructions for using this method:
1. Do not include athletes already registered in the system. Returning users must manually add registered athletes to teams by following Step 3 above.
2. Only include athletes on their home teams. Users must manually add athletes to any crossover teams to ensure receiving the crossover rate (where applicable).
3. In order for the Canadian Cheer office to upload your summary, users must ensure that teams are created prior to sending the Xcel Spreadsheet Summary.
