All Star Scoring

For the 2018/2019 season, Cheer Evolution will adopt the All Star Score System being utilized by Event Producer’s throughout North America. Please be sure to note that Worlds Teams may be adjudicated differently, please contactmarcy@ canadiancheer.com for information.  Pairs of adjudicators will evaluate one of the three categories:

  • Building Skills: Stunts (Difficulty, Technique, Creativity), Pyramid (Difficulty, Technique, Creativity), Stunt Quantity
  • Jumps &Tumbling: Running (Difficulty, Technique), Standing (Difficulty, Technique), Jump (Difficulty, Technique)
  • Choreography/Tosses: Dance/Motions, Routine Composition, Performance, Toss (Difficulty, Technique)

IASF Divisions:

*All-Star IASF divisions will be scored on the regular Canadian Cheer Scoring System, but will be weighted according to the weighting sheet below. Global Cheer will be adjudicated on the same score sheet as all other divisions, and weighted according to IASF weighting below, the only exception is that Performance will be replaced with Cheer. *

Global Cheer: 

Time Limit of Routine:

  •  30 second minimum to 40 second maximum for the opening Cheer portion
  • 20 second maximum to move from Cheer portion and set up for the music portion
  • 2:30 maximum for the music portion
    *If the time requirements are not met the team may be assessed a time violation deduction.
    *Cheer timing will be measured from the first sound or movement, whichever is first.

Cheer Portion of Routine:

The Cheer portion of the routine MUST be completed before the music section of the routine.

Cheer Criteria:

  • Crowd Leading – Ability to lead the crowd
  • Crowd Effectiveness – Voice, Pace & Flow
  • Proper use of signs, poms, megaphones, flags & motion technique
  • Practical use of stunts/pyramids to lead the crowd
  • Execution

Canadian Cheer Comp Guidelines

All Star Prep

  • Level 1 and Level 2 All Star Prep teams will follow the USASF guidelines for Levels 1 and 2 accordingly
  • Teams may consist of both males and females
  • Maximum routine length is 2:00 minutes
  • Athletes are NOT allowed to compete in both the Prep and Standard (non-Prep) divisions

Worlds Bid Teams

  • Please be aware that Cheer Evolution will be supporting the Canadian Event Producers’ ruling to only allow a maximum of 2 athletes on each Worlds Team roster to crossover to an additional Worlds Team roster for qualifying bid events. All other athletes competing for a bid must be original athletes that may only crossover to non-worlds teams.
